Thatching

Probably one of the oldest dwelling construction crafts.

Long stemmed plants can be bundled together and bound and woven together to thatch walls, roofs, floors and beds.


Plants that provide good thatch
  • Tree; Baobab - Adansonia: bark fibres ~ Africa, Australia, Madagascar.
