How To Find Water

Water inevitably travels downhill to rivers and on to the sea, so if you are in higher ground and cannot find water, head down hill into the valleys. In this almost entirely polluted era of or planet ALL water must be cleaned before drunk.

Suffering any of the sicknesses or poisoning that can be got from drinking dirty water will seriously ruin you day and make wilderness survival much more difficult.

Natural signs

The other creatures sharing that water with us give us useful pointers as to where to find it., an exception to this are reptiles, who obtain what they require from dew and the flesh of their prey, and mostly independent of water, and parrots and cockatoos. Relatively greener patches in the landscape tell of water, certain plants will only grow where there is water. Birds gather around these areas and circle them in the air above, animals leave well trod paths leading to them and even insects hang around them

Dowsing

The energy field created by water can be enough to affect sensitive conductors, such as thin branches (traditionally willow), metal & you! To douse for water, walk around holding out your divining branch or sticks ahead of you, when close of over water you will feel a definite pull on the rods in one direction or another. Use a Y shaped branch, or 2 separate rods bent into L shapes and hold these loosely in your hands. By practicing water divination we can improve our sensitivity & recognition of the subtle & invisible energy fields present around us all the time.
