Water - Sourcing and Conserving
Water Sourcing and Conservation -
The absolute minimum of drinking water need to survive is 1 quart/ approx 1 litre per person per day…this is in a relatively cool climate in an inactive state.
In any situation it is essential for our survival to establish a water supply and if we do not have one, it is vital that we find one. It may also be important to conserve this water.
Our drinking water needs to be clean which means removing from it the potentially harmful bacteria and possible chemical residue found in most of our accessible water today. Even the once clean natural water supplies such as springs, streams, brooks, creeks, rivers & underground water tables are now contaminated with bacteria due to widespread animal farming & mono culture, whereby bacteria from faeces from cattle and chemical residues from pesticides have filtered into the natural water systems. The lower you are the more contaminated the water.
Water however, can be cleaned, check out our other water articles on cleaning methods such as sterilisation by boiling, natural filtering methods.
