Starter Fire Structures-

Have your kindling ready at hand, or even arranged into a fire, for when the tinder flames take hold. Once burning, add more fuel and shape your fire depending on what you need it for.

Here are a few tried and practiced fire arrangements...

Tee pee:
Stand kindling sticks in the shape of a tee pee, with other dry kindling such as leaves and tinder in the centre.

Lean to:
A support stick is stuck into the ground and kindling twigs are lent on it, with other dry tinder and kindling are tucked in the far end.

Cross Ditch:
This method is all about air flow. Dig the a shallow trench in the shape of a cross, and start your fire in the centre of it.
