Great quality and intelligent design as expected from Extrema Ratio and of course super strong N690 steel blade, this knife is an excellent choice for a powerful yet easy to control tactical folder for men or women with smaller hands or a back up survival knife you can completely depend on in any situation.

The BF2 CD weighs in at 135 grams with a blade length of just 87mm with an overall length of 212mm leaving 125mm for the anodized aluminium handle which is quite small and makes it better for people with smaller hands.

The BF2 CD is capable of withstanding smaller tough jobs without fear of it breaking when you need it most.

The design produces an extremely tactical folder tool with a surgically sharp edge with secure lock.

Blade steel is the fantastic N690C hardened to HRC58 for a super sharp and long lasting edge. This steel is produced in Austria and is used for scalpel production in the medical industry.

Blades are produced using only N690C, the steel is martensitic enriched with chrome, vanadium, molibdene and cobalt, using the finest homogeneity it is transformed into plate for a crossed lamination/rolling.

Extrema Ratio have nearly ten years experience using this steel and produce a truly fine survival knife steel from it.

The steel is cut by high power laser, vacuum thermo treated and is finally given a special sand blasting.

Protected through burnishing and carbonitruration creating a strong resitance to corrosion which will satisfy even the most demanding military expectations.

The handle is made from Anodized Aluminium which provides a very tough, durable and extremely sturdy handle material. There is little chance of loosing your grip on this handle even in wet conditions and the material is very comfortable with two patterns of handle: Classic and Tactical.

The "Tactical" handles are characterised by a milled design ofconcentric circles with perforations for lower wight and higher grip.

The "Classic" handle is full with the characteristic lowered flat zone to increase grip and enable the use of the opening "pin" without emerging from the profile of the closed knife. Both come in black or desert tan.

It is suitable for hands of small dimensions, male or female, and for use with thermal gloves.

The handle is asymmetric but straight, which allows for a fast and natural shift from "saber" to "reverse" grip while leaving the end of the tang free as a rope guide or for use as a blunt instrument.

This knife feels indestructible (as per usual of Extrema Ratio) in the hand with a 3mm thick blade no slicing job is too much for this tactical folder. The blade keeps a razor sharp edge even under heavy use and is easy to control.

There is enough handle to get a sure grip (even with big hands) for most "fire-side" applications.

You feel confident to use the knife for all the tactical jobs a good tactical survival knife should be able to deal with, whittling pegs, cutting rope & mollee or bandage etc. quality back-up tactical folder, with a fantastic finish.

The Extrema Ratio BF2 CD is definitely up to the job and more. A back-up survival knife you can depend on completely, with good looks and a great high quality feel.

Small but solid build make this knife useful in most situations needing a solid dependable blade and it's firm grip and drop point blade tip allow for precision work.

This knife comes highly recommended and has been tried and tested by military units in some of the harshest environments on Earth.

For value for money the Fulcrum series offer high quality build and finish coupled with using the superb N690C steel these knives are some of the best you will find for the modest price tags.
