A favourite amongst the outdoor appreciator is maxpeditions ® Versipacks™ the Fatboy. Worn across the chest and back with a single, adjustable strap, the 13” high x 11” padded base of the Fatboy Versipack will sit comfortably in the small of the back , over your rump or on your hip or conveniently beneath a small to medium sized backpack. It can be slipped around to the side for the wearer to easily reach the zippered side pockets, which can fit a number of essential survival items worthy of keeping handy inside.
Main pocket compartment: 6.5" x 3" x 8"/ 16.5cm x 7.6 cm x 20cm. with mesh sleeve pocke Holds 155 cubic inches of kit.
Front Pocket: 5" x 1.5" x 7"/ 2.5 cm x 3.8 cm x 17.8 cm. With adjustable, strap lid and snap-shut nylon buckle. This pocket has an open-top, mesh, slip pocket on the inside and divided elastic admin organizer. Pocket lid secures shut with a nylon snap clip. N.B. Lid Pocket: A flat 5″ x 8″/ 12.7 cm x 20 cm zipped pocket. N.B. Essential survival kit that you could fit in the front zip pocket; Memory cards, emergency blanket, Leatherman® micra ®
Rear pocket Compartment: 8" x 7.5"/20 cm x 19 cm; with large Velcro loop patches to accommodate Maxpeditions Hook & Loop Modular Accessories. N.B Essential survival kit that you could fit in the rear pocket; maps & field guides (thin ones), note book, passports & tickets.
Side Pocket 1: 3" x 1.5" x 6" /7.6 cm x 3.8 cm x 15.2 cm. A zipped pocket with 2 rows of webbing on the outside. N.B. Essential survival kit that you could fit in 'Solar Slave' charger in one (and the 'Power Monkey Explorer' back -up battery in Side Pocket 2) or charge cables or sunglass or GPS or smart phone. Coco Bolo Fire Piston or Fire Pen.
Side Pocket 2: 1.5" x 1" x 5"/3.8 cm x 2.5 cm x 12.7 cm; a sheath pocket, the lid is adjustable with internal, quick release Velcro attachment. N.B. Essential survival kit that you could fit in this side pocket; fire piston or lighter & tinder tin, First-aid kit, energy bars, compass. Multi-tool.
Side Pocktet 3: 2.5" x 1" x 4"/ 6.4 cm x 2.5 cm x 10.2 cm; at the base of the strap, with a pen holder either side. Pocket lid secures shut with adjustable strap and nylon snap clip. N.B. Essential survival kit that you could fit in the sheath pocket; Your torch/flashlight: Steamlight Sidewinder Flashlighto Fenix MCll, a small-medium knife or larger folding knife.
This is a good pouch to separate things you want easy, daily access to from 'deeper' packed items in your backpack.
